Levi's 501xx faded down to a soft light blue, cut straight from a high waist with a long leg. Button fly, copper rivets, arcuate stitching on both back pockets and the red tab at the right-hand pocket.
The leather patch reads LEVI STRAUSS & CO, 501XX, W29 L36 - read straight off the garment rather than matched from a tag. L36 is a long inseam and the scarce end of this size run; a 29 waist with 36 of length does not turn up often. The waist comes to 29 inches around.
Condition: well worn and honest. The indigo has dropped to a light, even blue with heavy whiskering, and there are a few marks scattered on the front of the legs - visible in the photographs, which are of this exact pair. The hems are original, unaltered and unbroken. Priced as a used pair rather than a pristine one.
