Terms of service

Who you are buying from. PARKWAY is the trading name of Parking Lot Runway LLC, a limited liability company registered in Washington, DC. These terms cover orders placed on parkinglotrunway.com. Placing an order means you accept them.

Parkway sells secondhand clothing, and every piece is a single unit. We photograph the actual garment we are selling and describe its condition honestly, flaws included. Vintage sizing is not modern sizing, and a piece may have been altered before it reached us.

We make no authentication claim. Our pieces are sourced personally by us and sold as described. We do not knowingly sell anything we believe is not genuine, but we are not professional authenticators, and we do not represent that any piece has been authenticated by us or by anyone else. Brand names appear on this site to describe what a garment is; Parkway is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorised dealer for any of them.

If you believe a piece is not authentic. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and send us a written opinion from the brand itself or from an independent authentication service, such as LegitApp or CheckCheck. If the opinion confirms the piece is not authentic, return it in the condition it arrived, with our tag still attached. Once we have matched it to our own photographs of the piece we sold, we refund the price paid, the cost of the opinion, and the return shipping. We may obtain a second opinion at our own cost before accepting a claim. That refund is the full extent of our responsibility for authenticity, to the extent the law allows.

Ask before you buy — that is what we are here for. Email us for measurements, extra photos, or a closer look at a seam, and we will take them for you. We reply within 48 hours. Questions about fit or condition need to come before purchase, not after.

All sales are final. Each piece is a single unit that cannot be restocked, so we do not accept returns for fit or change of mind. The exceptions are that the piece arrived damaged in transit or the wrong item was sent; contact us within 3 days of delivery in either case. A piece that is not authentic is covered above, with its own 30-day window. Our refund policy is the governing version of this.

Prices and payment. Prices are in US dollars. Tax is calculated at checkout.

If you are thinking of disputing a payment. Please contact us first; we reply within 48 hours, and most problems are sorted by email. If a payment is disputed, we share our records of the order with the card issuer, including our photographs of the piece and its shipping details. A dispute does not change this policy: a refund for a piece still requires the piece back. We may decline future orders from a customer who has disputed a payment with us.

If we cannot fill an order. Each piece is a single unit, listed in more than one place, so it can sell in two places at once. If a piece you ordered turns out not to be available, we will tell you and refund you in full.

Shipping. Everything ships from Washington, DC. Timings, carriers, and what happens if a parcel arrives damaged are in our shipping policy.

The photographs and descriptions are ours. We shoot every garment ourselves. Please do not reuse the images or the text commercially without asking.

These terms can change. The version published here on the day you place your order is the version that applies to that order. We keep the history, so it can be checked.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia. Nothing here limits any right you have under the District of Columbia Consumer Protection Procedures Act, or under any other law that cannot be waived.
