Levi's 701 in a mid indigo with very little fading, cut with a high rise, a nipped waist and a straight leg that tapers slightly below the knee. Five pockets, belt loops, zip fly, the arcuate on both back pockets and the red tab at the right-hand pocket. The 701 is the women's cut of the 501 line, drafted with a shorter rise front to back and more shape through the seat.
The waistband patch is intact and reads LEVI STRAUSS & CO., ORIGINAL RIVETED CLOTHING, No 701 with the size beside it. The care label gives the country of make as Bulgaria, so this is European rather than US production. The patch being legible is what matters here - on vintage denim a readable patch is the difference between a named model and a guess.
