Lucia is Akila's wraparound: a sculpted oval that curves hard around the side of the head and finishes in a wide flat panel over the temple, the shape rave eyewear settled on in the late nineties and streetwear keeps coming back to. Black acetate throughout, cut thick across the brow and thinner underneath, with pale yellow lenses set deep enough that the frame reads as a mask from the front. Two silver pin rivets stand in the side panel at each hinge, the temple tips are finished with a ribbed grip, and Akila builds the model on a stainless steel temple core with spring hinges.
The label reads AKILA THE GREAT ESCAPE inside one temple and 141 CE LUCIA inside the other; the 141 is the frame's width in millimetres. Listed as one size.
Condition: no flaws found. The acetate is glossy and unmarked and the yellow lenses are clear.
